Instead of stopping to smell the flowers, watch the garden illuminated with creative light displays. A show where nature and art are intertwined, Houston Botanic Garden creates Lightscape Trail, a transformation of the botanic gardens bathed in a new light after dark. The twinkling lights throughout the arena dance to classic Christmas carols. This time though, the light show has been upgraded to the Humble Civic Center Arena and Complex. A candy-lined pathway leads up to a behemoth 16-foot-high gingerbread house guarded by two gingerbread men. Did we mention that the tree is floating in City Place’s main pond? And that’s not the only spectacle you’ll find. Here, the installation centers around the lighting of the 35-foot tree on November 27.
